Its Saturday Night!

So tonight I challenged myself to set some more flush diamonds. I got some itty bitty ones--the kind you never find again once you drop them! (yes, I already dropped one). This ring has eight 1.2 mm diamonds. So its been a really fun Saturday night!!!

flush set diamond

Here's a new skill that I worked on over the weekend--flush setting. I love working with tiny stones for a little bling, bling. Of course I always feel compelled to hammer and drill the metal, just to be sure it has a more distinct mark in the world!

SNOW!!! Wilmington Jan 2009

Inauguration Day in Wilmington and it snowed! We had fun taking packages to the post office in the snow. We got home in time to hear our President's speech. Today couldn't be more perfect.
I feel like today is such an important day in history.

square wedding bands

I just finished my custom order for a set of sterling square hammered wedding bands. I will pack them up in a moment and ship tomorrow.
If you would like your own set of sterling wedding bands, you can visit my etsy store.

champagne diamond stacker

I just finished this today and I'm really excited! I already listed it in my etsy store and I hope to have more ready soon. I want to do a series of gemstone 18k and sterling stacker rings in round and square ring shanks. My next project is to begin on the 18k chocolate diamond ring for the 7th Annual Chocolate Festival here in Wilmington!

"These are for the girl your mother warned you about. She is a bad, bad girl. She loves to go out for Thai food then kick back her heels and dance. Your friends complain that you haven't spent much time with them. You can't seem to help it, she's all you think about."
You can check them out on etsy.

Etsymetal team charms CS2

I got my Etsymetal Team charms yesterday and immediately made a charm bracelet with them. I love the way they jingle around my wrist! Thanks for all the charms and to Clare at Stamp for all her hard work on coordinating it.

new brass leaves

I've been busy! Tonight I just listed these new organic brass earrings just listed on etsy! I love the look of the "gold" brass and the blackened sterling earwires. I'm really excited about this series. I can't wait to work on it some more this evening.

Ashley Akers Jewelry

Great Sale at My Friends Store!
Ashley Akers makes gorgeous jewelry and I've just bought 4 of her rings--2 for me and one for my mom and one for my sister. I'm currently wearing the ring pictured. You need to go and check out her shop, but don't forget her sale section! I have a serious ring problem! I always seem to need a new ring!

Last week I made a few rings that I hoped would give me practice for a gold and diamond series I want to premiere at Wilmington's 7th Annual Chocolate festival. My supplies finally arrived, now I just need to find time and right mental space to create. I need to work quickly, but I'm still not rested from the Christmas rush.

Featured in Etsy's Storque

Etsy Finds: Weekend Deals January 10 and 11, 2009

This is a first for me and I'm so excited. I noticed something was weird when I started to get lots of convos followed by sales. I finally figured out that my sale got picked up in Etsy's Storque for weekend deals and finds. Not only did my sale get picked up, but they used my graphic to advertise for the sale.

So here's the skinny, free shipping in the United States and discounted international shipping. 10% off store wide for January 10th and 11th, excluding special introductory priced items. Use promo code in note to seller: JAN1009.

Chocolate (cognac) diamonds

I'm waiting for my UPS shipment to come so that I can get to work on this ring.

delicate sapphire ring

This is a study for an 18k chocolate diamond ring. I've been dying to venture into gold for a bit, so I tried out some 18k bezels with a lightly hammered sterling band using my beloved Fretz hammers. My sweet husband got me these hammers for Christmas. I've been nervous to use them--but I finally did and I'm in love! I am pleased with how the gold and silver contrast and the 2mm sapphire adds a bit of sparkle.
